Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible for your data?

The data controller is Niels Ramaekers, a sole proprietor based in Wellen (3830), Belgium, registered with the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under BE 0747.895.437. 2. What data do we collect?

This website only collects what you actively give us. There is no automatic profiling, no behavioural advertising, no cookies tied to your identity.

• Contact form — when you fill in the contact form (name, email, phone, subject, intent, message, preferred contact method), that information is sent to niels.ramaekers@icloud.com via a third-party form processor (Web3Forms). It is not stored in any database we operate.
• Strategy-call booking — if you book a free strategy call through the embedded scheduler (Cal.com, when wired), the scheduler holds your name, email, chosen time, and any free-text note you add. Their privacy policy applies.
• Anonymous analytics — page-view counts and referrer information are recorded by Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, cookie-less analytics provider hosted in the EU. No personal identifiers are collected, no cross-site tracking, and no cookies are set. This is why this site does not need a cookie consent banner.

3. Why we use this data

Your contact-form submissions are used solely to reply to you and to schedule any follow-up you requested. Booking data is used to confirm and prepare the strategy call. Anonymous analytics is used to understand which pages and chapters resonate.

The legal basis is your explicit consent (the un-pre-ticked GDPR consent checkbox you tick when sending a contact form, and the act of booking the call) for contact and booking data, and our legitimate interest in operating the site for the anonymous, cookie-less analytics.

4. How long we keep it

Contact-form messages and booking confirmations are kept in the controller's email inbox for up to 24 months and then archived or deleted. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time. Plausible analytics data is aggregated and retained without any personal identifier indefinitely; you cannot be re-identified from it.

5. Third-party processors

• Web3Forms — receives the contact form payload, forwards it as an email to the controller's inbox. Hosted in the EU. No long-term storage of the payload on Web3Forms infrastructure beyond the forwarding window.
• Cal.com — handles strategy-call scheduling when wired. Stores your booking record under their own privacy policy.
• Plausible Analytics — page-view aggregation. EU-hosted, cookie-less, GDPR-compliant by design.
• Cloudflare — delivers static site assets via CDN. Logs basic request metadata (IP, user agent, URL) for security and anti-abuse, in line with their privacy policy.

6. Your GDPR rights

You have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have it corrected if it is wrong;
• have it deleted (right to be forgotten);
• restrict or object to its processing;
• receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
• file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit) if you feel your rights are not respected — gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.

To exercise any of these rights, email niels.ramaekers@icloud.com with the subject "GDPR data request". We respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

This site does not set any cookies of its own. Plausible Analytics is cookie-less by design. Cal.com may set cookies inside its embedded booking widget when you actively engage with it; those are first-party to Cal.com, not to this site, and their cookie policy applies.

8. Security

Communication with the site uses HTTPS. Data in transit between your browser and the form processor is encrypted with TLS. The controller's email inbox is protected by industry-standard authentication and 2FA.

9. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

Material changes to this policy are reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced on the home page.
